Le Rêve d’Anfu is a partly Dutch and partly French owned company with its roots in Shanghai. We, Steph and Kim, founded this company in 2020 to build up a linen brand with focus on tradition, heritage and durability.

This is a small manifest to explain what Le Rêve d’Anfu stands for and what we aspire. We found that linen is an underappreciated fabric but with so many positive impacts on the world. Therefore we took this opportunity to show that Linen with its perfectly imperfect touch and feel can be very luxurious and exquisite.

We would like to be completely transparent about the origin of the brand, our values and our challenges.

As we know linen is the most sustainable fabric in the world. It doesn’t need irrigation, nor GMO and most important NO WASTE.  Furthermore, from experience we know that linen fabric is very durable, as many of us inherited bedding, tablecloths and even towels from our grandparents and parents. We found the best quality linen in the world, to pass it on!  That’s why we call it Home Heritage Originals.

Our linen is made in the North of China, a town called Harbin, and known for its amazing ice sculptures made by artists from all over the world. Why China? You might ask. Because here linen is still woven the “old fashioned way” and different machinery is used to produce the most soft, elegant and strong linen in the world. This linen doesn’t need to be stonewashed or dyed with harmful chemical colors to feel like silk. This linen quality starts in the fields and the way it is treated when it’s woven in a special way. The same way the Chinese treated the most vulnerable silk made from cocoons of butterflies, imbedded in the Chinese culture. They know how to treat and cherish fabric made from the most precious gifts from nature.

Our designs are handmade in a small workshop in the same location the fabric is woven. It is completely sewn to our specifications and details. The factory we work with is a well-known market player in producing the most refined and softest linen available and our collaboration with them, our choice of colours and designs is why we can be able to bring the most exquisite, soft and sustainable linen to your bed and table.

Our linen is embroidered in Shanghai by true craftsmen and we assure everything under good condition and close relationship.
